Parcel deliveries
Small products are normally sent by parcel carrier. Someone should be available to receive the order. Tracking is provided where available.
Ordering with confidence
We deliver shelving, shopfittings and retail equipment throughout the UK. Orders range from small parcels to long, bulky or palletised products, so delivery methods and unloading requirements vary.
01
Delivery charges depend on the products ordered, the size of the consignment and the delivery postcode. Add the products to your basket and enter the delivery postcode to see the available charge before checkout.
Some remote, offshore or restricted destinations may require an individual quotation. Contact us if no delivery option appears at checkout.
02
Deliveries are normally made between 8am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Many stocked products can be dispatched for next-working-day delivery, but availability, order size, destination and carrier capacity may affect the service.
We will email you when your order is dispatched and provide tracking where the carrier offers it. Made-to-order products and products with longer lead times are identified on their product pages. Unless expressly agreed in writing, delivery dates and times are estimates rather than guarantees.
03
The right delivery method depends on the products, dimensions and total order size. Please read the guidance relevant to your order.
Small products are normally sent by parcel carrier. Someone should be available to receive the order. Tracking is provided where available.
Long products may arrive by a specialist carrier or large commercial vehicle. Delivery is to the nearest safe kerbside position. Drivers are not contracted to carry goods inside.
Shelving, racking and larger mixed orders may arrive on pallets. You must provide adequate people or suitable mechanical equipment to unload safely and promptly.
Large panels, counters and cabinets can be heavy and awkward to handle. Provide enough physically capable people for their size and weight. Driver assistance must not be assumed.
04
Please inspect the consignment when it arrives. Prompt and accurate information helps us resolve carrier damage or shortages quickly.
Check the package count and look for visible damage before the driver leaves.
Note visible damage on the carrier's delivery record where possible.
Photograph the outer packaging, labels and affected products clearly.
Do not discard packaging while the carrier claim is being investigated.
Send your order number, details of the issue and photographs.
Do not return damaged or incorrect goods until we confirm the next step.
Please report visible damage or shortages within three working days and include your order number and photographs. Keep the goods and all packaging while we investigate. This request does not affect any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
05
Please contact us before returning any goods. We will confirm whether the product is eligible and provide the correct return instructions.
Standard products
Business customers may request the return of eligible standard stock products within 30 days of delivery. Goods must be unused, complete, in resaleable condition and in their original undamaged packaging.
Return carriage is the customer's responsibility. We can quote for collection if required. Original delivery charges are not normally refunded for business purchases.
Made to order
Made-to-order, bespoke, customised or specially sourced products cannot normally be cancelled or returned once production or procurement has begun, except where the goods are faulty, damaged or not as agreed.
Something is wrong
Contact us before returning goods that are faulty, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied or materially different from their description. We will review the issue and arrange the appropriate remedy and return method.
Business and consumer purchases: KAS Shelving Systems primarily supplies businesses and organisations. The business returns policy above applies to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes. If you buy wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you may have additional statutory consumer rights. Nothing in this policy affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Useful answers before you place or return an order.
Yes. Contact us before dispatch and we will try to arrange a suitable weekday. Unless expressly confirmed otherwise, requested dates and times cannot be guaranteed.
No. Large and palletised deliveries are normally kerbside. Drivers are unaccompanied and are not contracted to carry goods inside or unload individual components.
Tell us about narrow roads or entrances, vehicle height or weight restrictions, pedestrianised areas, timed access, delivery booking systems, loading restrictions and sites that cannot accept large vehicles.
The carrier may return the goods to its depot. Reasonable redelivery, storage or return charges may apply where the failure was not caused by KAS or the carrier.
Usually, yes. Contact us for a quotation. Collection costs will normally be deducted from the refund for a business change-of-mind return, and further charges may apply if the carrier attends but cannot collect.
Tell us about the products, destination, vehicle access and unloading facilities. We will help identify the most suitable option.
