Heavy-duty storage for builder's merchants

Pallet & Cantilever Racking

Practical storage solutions for palletised, bulky and long products in builders’ merchant warehouses, covered storage areas and external yards.

We supply pallet and cantilever racking primarily to builders’ merchants looking to add capacity, improve a particular storage area or complement an existing shelving installation. Our team can help establish the most appropriate type of racking, prepare a project-specific quotation and arrange professional installation where required.

  • Product and layout guidance
  • Quotations from plans or photographs

Two types of storage

Choose the right system for the stock

Pallet and cantilever racking perform different jobs. We can help identify which system best suits the products, available space and handling method.

01

Pallet Racking

Pallet racking provides organised, accessible storage for goods held on pallets. It is suited to warehouse and trade-storage areas where stock is handled by forklift and efficient use of vertical space is important.

Typical applications

  • Palletised bagged products
  • Boxed goods and trade consumables
  • Tubs, containers and reserve stock
  • Products requiring forklift access

Systems are available for internal and external applications, with timber decking, pallet support bars, upright protectors and end-of-run barriers available where appropriate.

02

Cantilever Racking

Cantilever racking is designed for products that are too long or awkward for conventional pallet storage. Its open-fronted construction provides clear access for loading and removing long materials.

Typical applications

  • Timber, mouldings and sheet materials
  • Pipes and drainage products
  • Lintels, steel sections and profiles
  • Other long building materials

Each system is made to order, with the upright height, spacing, arm length and capacity selected for the intended products and loads. Hot-dip galvanised and painted finishes are available.

Project support

Help planning your racking project

Choosing the correct racking involves more than selecting a height and width. The products being stored, their dimensions and weight, the available space, handling equipment and operating environment all need to be considered.

For straightforward requirements, we can often prepare a quotation using photographs, measurements and a simple site drawing. For larger projects or where a closer assessment is needed, our Sales and Project Manager may be able to visit your premises to discuss the requirement and review the proposed storage area.

Site visits are arranged according to project size, location and availability.

One practical range

Storage for every part of a builders’ merchant

Different products need different systems. We can help bring the main storage areas together in a coherent scheme.
