Help & advice
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about ordering, stock, delivery and our shelving, racking and retail joinery ranges.
Ordering & payment
How can I place an order?
You can order stocked products directly through our website. For larger projects, made-to-order products or help specifying a system, please contact our sales team for a quotation.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. We can also issue a pro forma invoice with a secure payment link for quoted orders.
Do you offer credit accounts?
Credit accounts may be available to established UK business customers, subject to application and approval. Please contact us for an application form.
Do your prices include VAT?
Prices shown on this website do not include VAT. The amount of VAT is confirmed at checkout. VAT is itemised on quotations, order documents and VAT invoices.
Stock & products
Is the item I need in stock?
Our website shows real-time stock levels for many stocked items. If no live figure is displayed, or you need a large quantity, contact us and we will confirm availability. Stock is allocated when an order is placed and is not reserved by an enquiry or quotation.
Can you help me identify an existing shelving system or compatible part?
Often, yes. Send clear photographs of the complete unit, the upright profile and any labels, together with key dimensions. Our WhatsApp number is perfect for this. Compatibility cannot always be confirmed from appearance alone, so please check with us before ordering.
Can I see samples or colour finishes before ordering?
Retail Joinery
Egger UK offer a free sample service for board finishes direct from their website.
Display Hooks
We can often confirm compatibilty from photos. Where this can't be established samples can be sent.
Delivery & returns
Where do you deliver?
We deliver stocked shelving, racking and accessories throughout most of the UK. Some bulky or made-to-order joinery products have more limited delivery coverage, so we may need to confirm your postcode before accepting the order.
How much does delivery cost and how long will it take?
The charge and service depend on the products, order size and delivery postcode. Available options are shown at checkout where possible; quoted projects will include the applicable delivery charge and estimated lead time.
Will I need to unload the delivery?
Many shelving and racking orders travel on pallets or specialist vehicles. Unless an unloading service is specifically agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for providing suitable labour or mechanical unloading equipment. Please tell us before ordering if access or unloading may be difficult.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. We will advise you when your order is ready for collection. Smaller orders will often be ready same day, larger orders will need longer to prepare but are usually ready within 1-2 business days, all subject to availability. We will advise of any shortages.
What is your returns policy?
Returns depend on the product and the circumstances. Standard stocked items may be returnable subject to our returns terms, authorisation and condition checks. Made-to-order, bespoke and specially sourced products cannot normally be cancelled or returned. Please read our Delivery & Returns page and contact us before sending anything back.
What should I do if my delivery is damaged or incomplete?
Check the delivery before signing where reasonably possible, record any visible damage or shortage on the carrier paperwork, and contact us promptly with photographs, quantities and your order number. Keep all packaging until the issue has been resolved.
Projects & joinery
Do you offer planning or product advice?
Yes. Our team can help specify shelving, racking and display products from dimensions, photographs, sketches or plans. For larger projects, a Sales or Project Manager may be able to arrange an initial meeting, subject to location and project scope.
Do you provide installation?
Installation quotations are available for suitable larger shelving and racking projects. Coverage and minimum project sizes vary, so please send the site postcode, drawings or dimensions, photographs and an outline of the work required.
Can you make counters or display units to my dimensions?
Yes. Our UK-made retail joinery is produced to order, and many designs can be adapted or created to suit your space. We normally work from your measurements, photographs or sketches, prepare 3D drawings and visualisations, agree the design, and then issue a quotation.
How long do made-to-order products take?
Lead times vary by product, finish, quantity and factory workload. The current estimated lead time will be confirmed with your quotation or order acknowledgement. Bespoke manufacture begins only after the design and specification have been approved.
Company & export
Where are you located?
Our office and warehouse are near Swindon, Wiltshire. We are primarily an online supplier rather than a walk-in retail shop, so visits and collections must be arranged in advance.
What are your opening hours?
Our office hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Messages received outside these hours will be answered when the office reopens.
Do you sell to private customers?
Our products, delivery methods and terms are primarily designed for business customers. If you are buying privately, please contact us before ordering—particularly for large, heavy or palletised products—so we can confirm that delivery and unloading arrangements are suitable.
Do you export to the EU?
We supply EU orders on an ex-works basis only. The customer must arrange collection from our UK warehouse and is responsible for transport, import formalities, taxes and duties. We can provide the commercial or export invoices necessary for the shipment.
