Why combine the systems?

The strength of K50, with a more flexible display surface

K50 provides the structural framework and adjustable steel shelving. Made-to-fit slatwall panels add hanging display space and a warmer, more tailored appearance without building a separate timber framework behind the panels.

Mix shelves and hanging display

Use standard K50 shelves where capacity matters, then position suitable slatwall hooks, arms or accessories where products need to hang.

Change the character of the bay

Timber effects and solid colours can soften the appearance of steel shelving and help the display fit the surrounding retail scheme.

Precisely sized components

Panels are cut for the chosen K50 bay width and fitted with hook strips so they locate neatly between the columns.

Wall and mid-floor options

Create wall runs, streamlined wall-fixed displays or double-sided gondolas, subject to the required height and configuration.

Choose the arrangement

Three practical ways to combine K50 and slatwall

Final dimensions, panel finish, metalwork colour and included components are agreed as part of the quotation.

Wall display

Wall bay with base shelf

Combines a familiar K50 base shelf with a full-height slatwall surface for a mixture of shelved and hanging merchandise.

Typical configuration

Starter and add-on bays, made-to-fit panel, hook strips and agreed K50 base components.

Streamlined wall display

Wall bay without a base

Omits the projecting base shelf where a cleaner, shallower display is preferred and the wall arrangement permits it.

Typical configuration

Wall-fixed K50 columns, made-to-fit panel, hook strips and the agreed fixing arrangement.

Mid-floor display

Double-sided gondola

Uses panels on both faces to create a freestanding merchandising run with slatwall display on either side.

Typical configuration

Starter and add-on gondola bays, two panel faces, hook strips, covers and agreed base components.

Finishes and inserts

Coordinate the display with your store

Choose from a considered range of timber effects and solid colours. We will help narrow the options so the panel, insert and K50 metalwork work together rather than presenting an unmanageable finish library.

  • Selected timber effects and solid-colour finishes
  • PVC or aluminium inserts, depending on the required appearance
  • Slotted panels for accessories or plain panels for a cleaner backdrop
  • K50 metalwork colour agreed to suit the overall scheme

Planning information

Before requesting a quotation

Standard widths and heights

Panels can be produced for the standard K50 bay widths of 66.5, 80, 100 and 125cm. Full-height wall displays are often based around 2.4m columns, but other heights can be considered as part of the specification.

Wall bays and gondolas

Wall bays can incorporate a base shelf or use a more streamlined no-base arrangement where appropriate. Double-sided gondolas use panels on both faces and provide a freestanding mid-floor display. Wall bays must be fixed and installed in accordance with the agreed configuration.

Panels, hook strips and installation

Hook strips are attached to the rear of the made-to-fit panels so they locate between the K50 columns. Installation is normally a two-person task. Appropriate wall fixings and screws must be selected for the substrate and are not assumed to be included.

Minimum quantities and lead times

These components are made to order and minimum panel quantities may apply. Production and delivery times depend on the selected finish and current workload, so the applicable lead time will be confirmed with the quotation.
